  • 2-7 Offsuit

It is often stated that this starting and is the worst when playing Texas Holdem. The probability to receive a 2 or a 7 to make at least a pair, that will do no good in front of your opponents’ pairs is limited. In short, any pair is likely to beat yours. Moreover, you can’t really have high chances to make a bigger straight or a flush that can beat your opponents, so when you have this hand, if you don’t just want to throw your money down the drain, then you should fold it.

  • 2-8 or 2-9

To continue our list with the worst starting hands you could receive in a Texas Holdem poker game, we also have to name at least these ones. Of course, they don’t give you enough chances to win. There are slightly better than 7-2 because both 8 or 9 are bigger than 7, but let’s be honest, the probabilities to win with this hand are limited.

  • 3-8 or 3-9

The number of reasons that these hands are some of the worst you could get in Texas Holdem are numerous. 3-8 and 3-9 can only beat the first two examples, that’s all. So, would you risk your money on them?
