Multi-tabling in poker is a very common practice, especially among pro poker players. But why? What drives so many players to take such high risks of losing their chips? Let’s get you a pro poker strategy if you want to play at more tables simultaneously. Winning is a true possibility, but only if you maximize your opportunities!
Some might say that multi-tabling in poker has more disadvantages than advantages, as you cannot pay sufficient attention to every table you’re spending at. Well, to be honest – this depends on the angle you see the problem from. What would you say if we told you that – you can have x more chances to get your return on investment faster? What would you say if we told you that with the right strategy you can win too? You just have to focus on your main goal.
Are you already a winner? Prove it!
Who can say that if you’re a winner at one table, you cannot be at two or three tables at the same time? Because you can… Anyway, you take it, imagine the things that you can learn from multi-tabling: fast decision-making, increased attention to details, fast-paced rhythm of the game. A fact is certain, if you manage to become an expert at multi-tabling then for sure you’ll have no problems when playing at one single table. Just think about it…
Strategies to adopt
So, how can you multi-table in poker when you have one single monitor? How can you make sure you’re not losing the best part of your game sessions? Specialists talk about two different strategies you have to choose from: Tiling and Stacking.
What is tilling? Tilling involves using the entire space of your desktop when arranging your game windows. That is to say – you’ll be able to see all tables at once.
What is stacking? Stacking is the method through which you put every game window on top of the other. In this particular case, we strongly recommend to enable the feature that brings the window to the front when it’s your turn to make a move. Don’t lose valuable time!
How can you know the number of tables to play at a time?
As tempting as multi-tabling really is, you have to set the optimal number of tables to play at once. Begin with one table and play like this until you know you’re good at it, then try to increase the frequency of the tables, but one each time. Don’t exaggerate or you’re going for a safe loss. Getting to profit has a lot to do with your number of tables you choose to play at simultaneously!
What is the key to multi-tabling?
The key consists of being able to take many decisions fast and under stress, and not any decisions, the correct ones. As a result, by multi-tabling, you’ll also get to improve your game skills and strategies too.
All in all, multi-tabling is something you definitely have to try at least once. Play your cards right and play them responsibly and you’ll get to enjoy multi-tabling more than you can initially think of so fingers crossed!
